Winner Announced for California Casualty’s "Give A Nurse A Break" Spa Getaway
San Mateo, CA, December 2, 2013 . . . Evan Henegar, from Birmingham, Alabama, will be embarking on a scrumptious getaway to the world-famous Chocolate Spa® at The Hotel Hershey® in Hershey, PA. Henegar is the winner of the all-expenses paid grand prize trip for four from California Casualty’s “Give A Nurse A Break” contest.
Henegar is an RN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. “We handle every patient imaginable,” he said. “I work three-12 hour shifts and it can get hectic and stressful doing full patient care.” Henegar was picked from more than 11,000 entries, nationwide. “I can’t believe my luck; I am just so appreciative and grateful.” As soon as their calendars allow, the 25-year old plans on making the trip with his wife and two co-workers.
“Often times, nurses aren’t always appreciated for the incredibly hard work they do. This is just one way we can say ‘Thank you and we appreciate you’”, said California Casualty Vice President, Mike McCormick.
The California Casualty “Give A Nurse A Break” package is worth $5,500 dollars. Previous winner, Lisa Gordon, LPN, from Victoria, Texas, experienced her spa getaway in October. “I love what I do….and I am so excited and amazed that I won this trip from California Casualty just for being a nurse!” she exclaimed as she and two of her closest friends luxuriated at the fabulous The Hotel Hershey® and Spa.
